Flexible Workforce Development Fund
Applications for 2018-19 NOW OPEN
The Scottish Funding Council (SFC) has announced that the new fund will provide apprenticeship levy-paying companies with up to £15,000 funding to support the training and development of their staff.
Fife College are already working with employers to help them develop their training plans for the upcoming year, to make sure they make the most of the funding available.

Who is eligible to apply?
All levy-paying employers in Scotland across the public, private and third sector can apply for this funding, in addition to any apprenticeship support they currently receive and Individual Training Accounts (ITAs) used by individual employees to develop their skills for employment.
This fund may be particularly beneficial in addressing skills gaps and training needs of the older workforce or those in low skilled jobs.
Please note - the fund does not support the provision of qualifications or training required by legislation.
How do you apply?
Firstly, we will work with you to identify the training that your company requires to meet the following priorities:
- increase organisational capacity
- increase productivity
- address known skills gaps
This Training Needs Analysis will form the basis of your application.
We will then design a bespoke workforce development programme tailored to your organisation’s specific training requirements, which could be delivered at your premises throughout Scotland if required.

You can only make one application for funding, up to a maximum of £15,000 in 2018/19
The fund will be allocated to employers on a first-come first-served basis.
