HNC Engineering Systems

This course aims to develop your abilities to apply analysis and synthesis skills to the solution of Engineering problems and provides an award that creates a route towards further study or employment. You will also be provided with opportunities to develop knowledge, understanding and skills in an Engineering Systems approach to the study of Engineering and achieve a degree of specialisation within the Systems field.

Duration and Attendance

  • One Year Full-time
  • Two Years Part-time

Entry Requirements

One of the following:

  • One Higher at Level C or above in Physics, Chemistry or Technological Studies plus Higher Maths at Level B or above
  • NC Electrical Systems
  • NC Engineering Systems
  • NC Electrical and Electronic Engineering
  • NQ Electrical Engineering
  • City & Guilds 2239 Certificate Wind Turbine Technician
  • Another relevant Engineering NC at SCQF Level 6 (incorporating Maths Tech 1 and 2) accompanied with a good academic reference recommending Articulation to a higher level

Industrial experience and/or other qualifications will also be considered.
