COURSE INFORMATION

This course reflects the increasingly important role that administration and information technology play in today’s business environment. The award will equip you with the Essential Skills and knowledge you require to play a key role in any modern business environment. Successful completion of year 1 will earn you a Higher National Certificate (HNC).

Continued study into year 2 will develop your skills further and allow you to study at a more advanced level. In addition to giving you excellent career opportunities in all sectors, successful achievement of the HND will allow you to progress to degree level study.

  • The Core Skills of ICT, numeracy and communication will be developed and certificated on this course
  • Two years full-time
  • Four years part-time
  • Accelerated learning and Saturday mornings are also available with flexible start dates throughout the year

One of the following:

  • One Higher at Level C or above in a relevant subject
  • Advanced Certificate: Enterprise and Business
  • Another relevant qualification at SCQF Level 6
  • Relevant industry experience and/or other qualifications will be considered on an individual basis
  • Direct entry into year 2 requires an HNC in Administration and Information Technology

In addition, internal applicants will also require a positive Internal Learner Reference (ILR).
