COURSE INFORMATION

This course is designed to raise awareness of issues surrounding epilepsy and the immediate care of individuals at risk from epilepsy.

  • Responsibilities under relevant legislation which underpin the care and health and safety of children with medical conditions such as epilepsy
  • What epilepsy is, its triggers, and its treatments
  • Recognise signs and symptoms and appropriate responses
  • Your role in the care and aftercare of children with epilepsy
  • Issues surrounding epilepsy and the immediate care of individuals at risk from epilepsy
  • This is a 6-hour course designed to increase understanding of the issues around the care of children with epilepsy

  • Formative assessment throughout tutorial sessions. You will be presented with a college certificate of attendance
  • No prior knowledge is required by delegates
  • It is not necessary to have a First Aid certificate
