Project Management Training Fuels Success for Dundee Manufacturing Facility

Project Management Training Fuels Success for Dundee Manufacturing Facility

Employees from Dover Fuelling Solutions’ (“DFS”) Dundee manufacturing facility have been developing their project management and software skills, thanks to a partnership with The Andrew Carnegie Business School at Fife College.

Andrew Carnegie Business School has an excellent track record in providing commercial training to companies throughout the country and is the main training provider for project management in the East of Scotland, making it the perfect choice for the Dundee-based firm.

Dover Fuelling Solutions is one of the world’s largest providers of fuel retailing solutions with four main elements at its core: advanced fuel dispensing equipment, electronic systems and payment, automatic tank gauging and wetstock management. The Dundee facility specialises in the production of both Tokheim and Wayne Fuelling Systems dispensers, which are renowned across the globe.

With project management being a key delivery tool within the business, Engineering Manager at DFS Mike Gilbert is keen to ensure that staff benefit from regular ongoing training. The Business School’s PRINCE2® Training programme has been found to best suit their needs.

“Ensuring our staff have access to the latest project management and software training is extremely important to us and we are delighted to see the latest group of staff complete and update their PRINCE2 ® and Microsoft Project qualifications’, Mike commented.

“Here at DFS, the PRINCE2® style of planning and management is embedded into the way in which we work and so it is vital that we are able to upskill our staff on an ongoing basis - the Business School provides the training and added support to ensure that we develop our teams effectively.”

He continued: “We are delighted to have been working in partnership with The Business School for over 10 years and look forward to developing further project management training opportunities with them in the near future.”

Jan Thomson, Director of Business Development, said: “We are delighted to continue our partnership with Mike and the team at Dover Fuelling Solutions UK - we have a long and successful track record of providing a wide range of professional training courses for companies across Scotland.

“We are committed to working with partners and employers to identify current and future training requirements, which in turn enhance the local, regional and national economy in Scotland.”
