Fife based ‘Bandrum Nursing Home’ offer professional services and facilities to the elderly that need care. They are committed to growth and development when it comes to putting their residents first. By doing so, Bandrum are keen on training staff to allow their skillset to broaden.

Bandrum Care Home have been working with Fife College since 2019 to upskill their employees. However, it has only been in the past year that Bandrum have applied for our Flexible Workforce Development Fund (FWDF).  With this funding, their employees can confidently progress their new skills and apply them within the workplace.

Viki – Director of Bandrum Care, commented:

The main reason why we wanted to work with Fife College is to make the best use of local resources. We have been lucky enough to have been the winners of Scottish Care’s coveted award for Training, Learning and Development in 2019 and 2020.

This is thanks to our wonderful career progression program, which we are now able to expand across the whole workforce thanks to Fife College and the Flexible Workforce Development Fund. We have also won Scottish Care’s Training Learning and Development Award the last two years running and have another nomination in for 2021!

We would most definitely recommend Fife College FWDF to other employers. We have had a wonderful and supportive experience and are currently applying to the college again through this year’s funding and will continue to do so each year for as long as we can. We would like to thank Chris and Michelle and the whole team at Fife College for their support throughout the year.”
