Raytheon UK and Fife College have had at least a decade long relationship, training their variety of teams on many different courses. More so recently, they were able to use the Flexible Workforce Development Fund (FWDF) for training purposes. Stephan Fortune, Training and Development Lead at Raytheon shares the relationship he has with us and how the FWDF has helped their teams.

"Personally, I have worked with Fife College for 10 years but Raytheon as a company has probably been working with them for decades.

We use Fife College as our training provider for Engineering courses, Microsoft courses and IPC courses for our staff to meet their development and certification requirements.

The Flexible Workforce Development Fund has allowed us to offer many employees Microsoft (and additional) skills training, which they can then take back and apply in the workplace. This received excellent feedback from all who attended, and we already have a list of requests to provide more of the same in 2023.

We work with Fife College to upskill our workforce. This allows us to support our employees’ career progression aspirations, develop our workforce through internal promotions and to learn new skills. This results in an increase in employee morale, motivation and retention.

Fife College courses have been great for developing our staff and providing academic qualifications to support production staff’s career progression aspirations. They form a vital part of our upskilling, career pathway and employee retention objectives."
